Refund Policy
8.1 Overview
This Refund Policy applies to all annual listing fees paid to Burd & Co., a sole proprietorship ("we," "us," or "Company"), for directory listings on burdandco.com ("the Site"). This policy is incorporated into and should be read alongside our Listing Terms & Advertiser Agreement and Terms of Service.
We want advertisers to be satisfied with their listings. At the same time, because listings require manual review, setup, and ongoing maintenance, refunds are only available within a limited window.
8.2 Refund Eligibility
30-Day Window
A full refund of the listing fee paid is available upon request if the request is submitted within 30 calendar days of the date payment was received by Burd & Co., regardless of whether your listing has gone live.
After 30 Days
No refunds, partial refunds, or pro-rated refunds will be issued for any reason after the 30-day window has closed, including but not limited to:
- Early cancellation or voluntary removal of your listing;
- Dissatisfaction with the volume or quality of leads generated;
- Changes to your business circumstances (e.g., closure, rebranding, or change of focus);
- Removal of your listing by Burd & Co. due to a violation of our Terms of Service or Listing Terms; or
- Changes to the Site's design, features, or category structure.
Rejected Applications
If your listing application is rejected by Burd & Co. before your listing goes live, a full refund will be issued regardless of whether the 30-day window has passed. We aim to review all applications within 5 business days of receiving payment.
8.3 How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email connect@burdandco.com with the subject line "Refund Request" and include:
- Your full name and business name;
- The email address used when submitting your listing application;
- The date and amount of payment; and
- The payment method used (PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo).
We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and confirm eligibility.
8.4 Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be returned via the same payment method used for the original transaction (PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo). We aim to process approved refunds within 5–10 business days of approval. Processing times may vary depending on the payment platform.
Burd & Co. is not responsible for delays caused by PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, or your financial institution.
8.5 Chargebacks and Disputes
We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute. Chargebacks filed outside the eligibility criteria described in this policy may result in suspension of your listing and prohibition from future listings on the Site.
8.6 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy at any time. Changes take effect when posted to the Site. The policy in effect at the time of your payment governs your refund eligibility for that transaction.
